Waffles is an adorable six-month-old tri-color, male smooth coat guinea pig looking for a loving guardian.
Waffles came to Friends of Petraits Rescue when his family tired of caring for him. The children in the family begged their folks to buy the a guinea pig, but once he got home, mom did all the work caring for him. So, he was turned into rescue.
Waffles is an absolutely adorable little fellow who deserves a loving family willing to handle him daily, keep his nails trimmed, his habitat nice and clean and his belly happy and full.
Guinea pigs eat a diet of unlimited Timothy and Orchard hays; a handful of guinea pig pellets, and fresh vegetables including red leaf and green leaf lettuces, cilantro, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, etc. Guinea pigs, just like humans, can’t manufacture their own vitamin C, so they need to supplement with a one-inch square of red bell pepper and many other vitamin C-rich foods. He enjoys his fresh foods and looks forward to daily salads.
