Spayed / neutered.
Bruno is a special little guy deserving of a special forever home. He is a lop bunny and is between 3-5 years old. Bruno was surrendered to Rabbit Rescue following the passing of his primary caregiver.
Bruno is in good health but does have chronic dental issues. He would benefit from an experienced adopter who is willing to commit to regular appointments with a bunny savvy vet to check on the condition of his teeth and to trim, grind or extract teeth as needed. Following dental procedures, Bruno generally requires syringe feeding of Critical Care and meds for a few days. Otherwise, he is a good eater when it comes to greens. He eats pellets soaked in water so that they are easier to chew with his teeth. Bruno is not a hay eater at this time despite trying a few different varieties to gauge his interest. While not overly adventurous when it comes to herbs and veggies, dandelion greens seem to be a favourite besides regular mixed field greens. He isn't shy to let you know when he is hungry or has finished his food as he will flip his bowl or plate.
This sweet boy has a very lovable personality. He is currently thriving in a cage-free environment which suits his curious spirit. He will play with his toy carrot and toilet paper rolls. He enjoys nose rubs and face scratches from hoomins. He has good activity levels and currently enjoys spending a good portion of his time exploring on his foster hoomins' home office desk which he easily hops onto with the aid of a nearby paper shredder or office chair. Atop the desk, he keeps a watchful eye on happenings in between naps beside the printer. When he isn't on top of the desk, he is often underneath it or napping in a nearby Costco box.
Bruno is currently awaiting the opportunity for an appointment to be neutered. On his last exam, (Aug) his teeth were looking better and no extra work was needed. He will be rechecked 3 months from then.
If you have experience with bunnies, have the time to devote to caring for him, and share his curious nature, Bruno may be the bunny for you!
