Allow us to introduce you to LUKE, a 7 year old German Shepherd who has been surrendered by his family to our pound. At the age of 2, LUKE lost his first owner when he was killed in a car accident. Immediate family didn't want him and were going to have him euthanized when more distant relatives stepped up so that wouldn't happen and they made LUKE part of their family. But now they are elderly and unwell and can no longer care for LUKE so he is looking for a new family to love him during his golden years. LUKE is a very sweet boy who loves to be petted and brushed. He is good with other dogs, kids and cats, but because he is food aggressive (doesn't want anyone around his food), he should not part of a family with small kids. If you have other dogs in the family, LUKE will need to fed separately. LUKE spent a lot of his time outside so he will need some housebreaking reminders. This boy will be forever grateful to be a part of a loving family.
