When exhausted little ""dove release"" pigeon Stardust (formerly Tracy) was rescued, she was hiding helpless in a barn with a compound fractured wing, infected and maggot-infested.Still squeaking, not even two months old. Good Samaritan's rescued her & found Palomacy & surrendered her to us for the life-saving medical care she needed. They transported her straight to the vet where it took a few days to fight off sepsis & stabilize her enough to go to surgery & amputate the dead wing. Her vet tech stayed late the first night to get all the maggots off of her & fell in love with the brave little bird. Now Stardust has been discharged & is being fostered to adopt by her smitten vet tech. Stardust is incredibly lucky! Please apply to adopt http://www.pigeonrescue.org/birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/
