Story

Meet Chilla, our darling male Chinchilla of 3 yrs old and almost 2 lbs. He is a tiny little guy, but so sweet and easy.

Chinchillas are small little rodents. They have been described as smarter than the average rabbit and more fun than rats. They memorize trails and have good memories. They can be shy, but Chilla is not shy. He is quite social!

Chinchillas are clean and quiet, and they don't smell! Their life span is 10-20 years. This little guy is easy to handle. He loves his little house filled with enrichment to keep him busy daily. He LOVES his wheel and his other little platforms/ledges to jump around his house.

The cutest thing is to watch him take his dusting bath every few days. It's hysterical! Blink and you'll miss it; he is incredibly fast when he tossing about in his special powder to clean himself, like taking a shower!

They do require very specific care though from exactly what to feed them and what temperature they must be kept in among other important care features. He eats special Chinchilla kibble and Timothy hay.

Chilla will only be placed in a home with older children, or adults only. They are fragile, so younger children aren't a good match for this little guy.

His adoption fee is $150.00, but he comes with all of his accessories except a new cage. He will need a cage, one large enough for him and his items for sure. The one pictured is actually a cat cage, so that works great!
