ATTENTION: IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN THIS DOG, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Interested parties must complete and submit an application FIRST.
   You can download it from our website: www.tarheelweimrescue.org
   We are a small group of volunteers, so we are not able to discuss the dogs without an application on file. You will be contacted after your application has been received and reviewed. At that time you can discuss any questions with your placement officer.
2. On your application, please state whether you are ONLY interested in this dog or if you are open to other available dogs. (We get new dogs all the time who may not yet be posted!)
3. We do adopt to approved applicants outside our immediate region, however, we do not transport or ship dogs to their new homes. Adopters must come to NC to meet and take home their new dog. If the adoption doesn’t work out for any reason, the adopter must return the dog to the point of origin in NC.

Good Morning! I want to introduce myself. I am Xena, a 3 1/2 yr old Blue Weim. I am athletic, love to run (What Weim doesn’t), and have fallen into a fun, loving foster home where I can play and romp with 2 other Weims, and a little boy!!
My foster mom says I’m super gentle and easy, especially when taking treats, but also when someone is loving me. I give hugs, I will wrap my head around your shoulder in my own hug and love attention.
My foster family walks me with their other 2, and while I pull when I see another dog and bark (because I want to play) and pull, my foster mom is able to correct and not have any issues. I do like to chase after squirrels, so I'm not really sure how a furry cat would fare in the house (my fosters don’t have one). I do LOVE to run, so a fenced yard to play safely in would be great.
I am shorter than the other 2 here, but will run and play hard, my foster mom says a tired Weim commits less crimes. We all play and romp in the woods and the yard. I follow commands very well. I know sit, come, shake. They told my foster mom that I didn’t get on the couch, but I did climb up today to snuggle.
My foster mom thinks I will do great in a home that has experience with Weimaraners, so they would recognize all my fun quirks. Did I mention I also like taking car rides?
