Hi! My name is Kiki, and I am a sweet, inquisitive 8–10-year-old Caique Parrot. I recently came into the care of Florida Parrot Rescue, and I am settling into my foster home while I wait for my forever family to adopt me!

When my foster mom got me, I was very hormonal, and I wanted to be petted everywhere. My foster mom and family have been very careful to ONLY pet me on my head and neck. As a result, I am not so grumpy anymore, and I tolerate females better. But I definitely prefer males and will not let a female touch me when a male is giving me attention.

I like to “catcall whistle” when I want or see food, and also when I see a person I like. I am currently on a nutritional supplement because I was only eating seeds in my previous home, although I like to eat just about anything. I love chop and pellets, and whatever you are eating. The vitamin supplement has helped me grow some feathers back in the bald spot on my chest.

I can be quite noisy, and that’s why my previous owner couldn’t keep me as she worked at home after 2020 and could not talk on the phone for work. I don't show any interest in any toys, except paper towel or toilet paper rolls. I really just want my humans to pay attention to me. I also really love music and love to dance!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
